STAVANGER 25 - ECB 12
In very difficult conditions in stavanger a 13 man ECB, plus John from stavanger managed to play some very competitive rugby against a well drilled Stavanger side. It bucketed down in stavanger but the guys stuck to the game plan and kept positive, and at half time we were still in the game despite being down a man, stavanger started the scoring with JB and we replied with a try from Trent, in the second half stavanger again took the lead only for us to score again with a nicely worked try between trent, roger and morgan, trent getting the touchdown...but in the end we were out done by a better team on the day, they scored two soft tries to end the game. The moral of the story: more training together, a 15+ squad and more of the same postive attitude which was shown throughout the game should see us through the rest of the season..Our stavanger man of the match Alex\JB, Our ECB man of the match-Tim, Stanvanger picked Roger as their ECB man of the match.

FINAL RESULT MENS : OSLO 21 - ECB 19
Thanks to those of you that helped out the preparation at the weekend. In the mens its was a great final, but we lost by a converted try, in the womens the combined east team showed again that we have some real unexploited talent by beating Oslo, and the same goes for the juniors, Lasse, Hassan, Rolf, Sindre, and Sunniva. Lasse scored 3 tries! two of which won the game for the combined east against ISS, Sindre also had a disallowed try. These boys were even hungry for more when they asked to play with the seniors! unfortunately\fortunately we had more that a fully squad, your time will come soon guys;-) Here is a report from Tønsberg Blad

ECB WINS AGAINST BERGEN RK 53-15
ECB won their home game against bergen at he the weekend, with a score of 53-15. It was beautiful weather for a game on satruday and the pitch was imaculate, thanks to roger, jerome and tor k. for marking the pitch and setting everything up. Bergen arrived short of players, so roger volunteered himself and Håvard to start for bergen. We got off to our customary slow start and bergen scored 2 tries in the first half, both from the forwards if i can remeber correctly. We played well against the experienced bergen forwards despite ther being a alot of unessecary nerves in our players, somthing to work on for next time, and we were slightly ahead in the score at half time. In the second half we stepped it up a gear and our pace and extra man power started to show on the scoreline. there were a couple of tries from trent, jerome, roger(legendary chip over the top), and a few morei cnt remeber all the scores... In all it was a good team performance from the guys who turned up, with need for improvement for the rest of the games in the season. The game was followed by a BBQ at rogers place, where the was more than enough food to go round! thanks to bergen for making the trip over.

ECB VINNER MOT TRONDHEIM\FOSEN
The weekend started with Roger changing into his invisibilty suit at the train station, which he refused to take off for the entire trip! We will bring you the entire set of "wheres wally" pictures as soon as we can. It was a long trip up to fosen, but it was well worth it as we came away with a hard fought win. This was everyones first time in Fosen and we arrived (after a little confusion) to a sight of a beautifully prepared rugby pitch with the Fosen countryside as a back drop. I think its fair to say that the first half was dominated by a commited and fired up Trondheim who were better prepared for this game than ourselves. Trondheim keep it close with use of the fowards and lead 17-5 at the break...In the second half we got into a rytme and the game began to flow a bit better for us. We scored some well worked team tries, we scored tries from Trent(2), Tim(2), Olav(3) Jerome(1). the exact score i will have to check but i think it was 50-17. Runar was our man of the match and Trent was Fosen\Trondheim MOTM. Thanks to Fosen\Trondheim for having us and arranging transport for us out to the pitch and the reception after thanks to all our guys who made the trip up and to those of you that did'nt watchout, the new boys are on fire!. ECB VINNER MOT OSLO 42-12
I vår først 15 manns kamp av året vant vi fortjent mot Oslo 42-12, Tries: Roger,Shelton,Tor kristian,Tim,Bill, Trent, ???. Hvertfall en conversion fra vår nye "kicker" tor kristian:-)

TØNSBERG VINNER VALHALL!!
Stor takk til alle som var med! Det var en lang og slitsom dag på Vahall men både Tønsberg herre og dame laget(ECB) viste at du kunne spille bra rugby...Herre laget vant over OSI, Bergen 2, Stavanger,og ÅS 2 i gruppe spille, Bergen 1 i semifinalen og ÅS 1 i finalen, dvs vi slo nesten alle lagene, desverre så fikk vi ikke prøvd oss mot mot Fiji's stolthet, men det var veldig morsomt rugby og alle som var med ga 100%. Dammene til tross for lite trening sammen, klart å slo mer rutinert lage og endt opp i finalen mot Bergen, some de tapt, men vi er veldig stolt av dem!Takk også til var 2 junior spiller som var med Sindre og rolf som spilt med meget bra. Håper vi har noe video å vise i løpe av kort tid
Tønsberg wins again! Thanks to everybody who turned up, big thanks to Øyvind and Shelton, who still came dispite being sick\injured and helped the team, the boys beat OSI, Bergen 2, Stavanger,og ÅS 2 in the group, Bergen 1 in the semifinal and ÅS 1 in the final, we did'nt get a chance to test our skills against the boys from the islands but it was still a good tournament and we played some good rugby. the girls did us extremely proud beating more experienced teams and only loosing to bergen in the final, Well done! We should have a bit of video at some stage.

JUNIOR SPILLERE I BERGENSTIDENE

NM FINAL 2006 -BERGEN.
Final score Bergen 23 - 3 ECB

Firstly a big thanks to all the guys who made the trip to Bergen last weekend. We turned up with 14 players and had to borrow two Bergen props. We had a good opening to the game pressing Bergen in their own half for the first 10-15 minutes but after this the Bergen forwards started to show their experience, and dominated most of the tight play, we had some good individual performance in the forwards most notably Knut Martin, who managed to steal a few balls and make some good runs. Another good display was from our Italian stallion "Checo" who despite the complete lack of playing time with us managed to step into scrum half position and play a great match. We had another good period of pressure in the middle of the second half, and with a bit more organisation we could have been over the line on a couple of occasions, but c'est la vie, and hopefully we can work on these things next year. Congratulation to bergen who played a good team game and won deservedly, but they can be sure we will be back next year with our full team and more experience to give them a good spanking.
