Suretank, an Ireland-based provider of engineered solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry, today announced its partnership with the Norway Rugby Federation for the 2015 men’s rugby 7s European Championship, taking place in Zagreb, Croatia on 20 and 21 June.
The Zagreb 7s is also an Olympic games qualification tournament.
Suretank is the official sponsor of the Norwegian 7’s rugby team and its branding will feature on the team jerseys.
William Wilson, Suretank’s Norwegian Representative said, “Suretank is a global enterprise, but our strong Irish roots means that many of our employees are ardent rugby supporters – a passion shared with our colleagues and customers here in Norway. Suretank has a strong presence and customer base in Norway, so we are extremely excited to be again the sponsor of a Norway national rugby team. I wish the team all success in Zagreb, and hope for a match against Ireland in the knock-out phase”.
Per Thorkildsen, President of the Norway Rugby Federation (‘NRF’) said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with such an innovative company that recognises the value of our sport. The Zagreb 7s is a milestone for NRF, as it is the first time that all 12 members of our squad are Norwegian passport holders. In 2014, Suretank sponsored the ladies’ 7s team and they had a very successful year. I hope that the Suretank effect repeats itself this year with the men’s team!” Regular updates will be posted on www.rugby.no
