"For the attention of all female members of the rugby clubs in Norway (and players eligible for Norway playing outside of the Norwegian competition) ,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that Guillaume Lescoffit and I take on the responsibilities of coach and manager for the Norwegian womens 7s team for 2010-2012.

We would like to make all players eligible for Norway aware of the selection strategy for the National team in 2010:

Valhall will be an important tournament for squad selection in 2010. We therefore encourage players who would like to play on the national team to take part in this competition. If you are unable to play at Valhall, but would like to be considered for the squad, it is important that you contact us PRIOR to the tournament. Guillaume will then take the advice of coaches, and form an extended squad (c. 13 players) for further training camps and tournaments.

The eventual squad for the FIRA tournament will be decided as a result of training camps held for the elite squad. We will aim to hold some of these training camps in connection with local tournaments around Norway. National team candidates should not hesitate to complement their club training with individual fitness, strength and skills training. You are welcome to get in touch with Guilluame or Kirsten for suggestions of what should be worked on, and consult your own coaches if there is something in particular they think you should focus on.

All training camps will have an egenandel that all participants will be required to pay. This will be decided after the budget is announced.

The date for the FIRA 7s Tournament in 2010 is Friday 21 May to Sunday 23 May in Odense, Denmark. We anticipate that our participation will be confirmed in due course.

A final note that players are welcome to communicate with myself and Guillaume in Norwegian, and if you struggle with English we will also reply in Norwegian. For the sake of clarity, the bulk of emails will be sent in English.
