NM7s 2009 champion are Stavanger for men, winning the final against Bergen after sudden death, and Bergen for women winning the final against NTNUI 42–0. 
Sunnmøre Rugby announced that they could not join the championship this year, but instead would maybe join Trondheim to strengthen their team.

South African Johan Stoltz (Stoltzie), 36 years old, played his last game as Prop for Oslo Rugby Klubb. That was in Helsinki on June 28th 2009 for the Nordic Cup. During that game, Johan also scored his last try for the team that became Nordic Champion that day.

Saturday 6 of June was an important Rugby day for France. The same day as the French top 14 Final, 20 French rugby players living in Norway joined to form a French team and play against Oslo Rugby klubb, called ”The Barbarians” for the occasion.

Oslo lost in Bergen for the first time this season. The game was tight until the end when Bergen took their distance with a last minute try.
The game started with a rare intensity and a very aggressive New Zealand side. New Zealand kept England in their 22 with a few kicks over the defence. 
Oslo Women played one of the few XV games this year against team from Brussels. Belgians weakness was on the wing and Oslo were lacking discipline on rucks and scrums. But it did not stop Oslo from taking the win in Ekeberg.
New Zealand are Woemn Rugby World Champion 2010 winning the final 10-3 over England. Australia is third winning against France 22-8. . Sweden is the 12th nation in womens rugby. The last Swedish game against Kazakstan was tight, and was lost by only 4 points
Oslo won back the first place of NM 15s after a last minute forfeit from Stavanger. Until about 10 minutes before the kick-off, Oslo had lost the game 40-0 as there was no pitch to play on in Ekeberg.
The top 4 rugby teams in Norway should have played important matches this weekend. Oslo Rugby and Bergen Rugby are leading the competition at this stage and Trondheim is forfeit.
