Jonathan Bruns 5/12/2005

Norway 17 - Israel 15
The word from Brunsie is that it was a hard game but they smacked them Hard !! Well Done Boys. Keep the winning streak going.
Robin Fogalele 26/11/2005

Thank You!
Months of planning and work correlated into a very successful weekend for the Norwegian national team.
Jonathan Bruns 30/10/2005

Norway 41 - Azerbaijan 3
Norway made good of a very soggy day in Oslo when they beat Azerbaijan 41 - 3 with a encouraging display of open rugby. Read more to see the first batch of photos.

Bergen 18 Oslo 7
Oslo started off with a converted try after only 15 minutes. Bergen fought back and got a converted try after 28 min, which made the halftime score 7-7. After only two minutes of the second half gone, Karl got sent to the bin for a late tackle. Bergen slotted two penalties 16 and 29 min. And took the trophy home by a last minute try.
Andreas Fyri 3/10/2005

Trondheim 10's
20 boys and girls from Oslo and OSI rugby went up with bus for this tournament. This was the first tournament OSI have been to and the boys certainly got the attention of the rest of rugby Norway. A 29-0 loss against Trondheim and 7-12 loss to ECB (second half win!) saw them out before the semis, but considering the only 4 weeks of training the boys did really well. Oslo lost 12-14 to Bergen and 29-0 against the aussies from London, who beat Bergen in the final. The girls won both their matches.
Andreas Fyri 26/9/2005

ORK v OSI 73-17
The first game for the Oslo university students ended in a loss, however good spirit was shown and experience gained before Trondheim 10's. The game was played 9 on 9 and 4 x 10min.

Oslo triumphant at Ekeberg
Bolstered by some Kongsberg juniors and some super seniors Oslo managed to notch up another win that sees them at the top of the Eastern Competition table. Thanks to all that turned up for another great day of rugby.
Robin Fogalele 3/9/2005

Farewell to the Heart and Soul of Fiji
A sad loss for rugby on the "East Side" as Viliame Tirikula bids farewell to Norway to return to his Pacific homeland. We would like to thank Viliame for his contribution to rugby in Oslo and wish him all the best. No one can say that he did not make a significant impact on the game here. We will miss you brother. Vinaka !!
Robin Fogalele 29/8/2005

Robin Fogalele 27/8/2005

Andreas Fyri 22/8/2005

Tønsberg 10's
Oslo beat Stavanger to get the 3rd place. In the final Bergen beat ECB. More to come.
Robin Fogalele 19/8/2005

Glommen v Oslo 5-37. (0-30 half time)
Captain Karl got three tries in the first half. Then Oslo seemed to run out of steam in the second half. The Glommen boys put on a lot of pressure and got several turnovers. Glommen were the moral winner of the second half!
Robin Fogalele 11/8/2005

Copenhagen 7’s
This year as so many before Oslo sent a mens team to Copenhagen, but we also had our own women’s team. Let’s hope this great tradition continues!
Robin Fogalele 10/8/2005

Alex Mbala
Alex broke his ancle while playing for Oslo in Copenhagen 7’s. He was taken to a hospital and to our knowledge underwent surgery in Denmark. We wish him all the best and a quick recovery.

The conference focused on specific sevens issues with examples of training teams, preparing the fitness for individual players and the interpretation of the rules as they are applied to a sevens game. The conference culminated with organizing of the Lunel leg of the European 7’s circuit. The tournament itself consisted of both mens and womens competitions. Here's a link with a map on how to get there if you have not been there before.
Andreas Fyri 23/5/2005

ORK2 26 v ECB 25
Oslo barely beat ECB in a scrappy game at Ekeberg. The discipline on both sides was poor and the ref got alot of back-chat. Suprisingly no-one got sent of for their abuse and the only one seeing a yellow card was Owen for a high tackle.
Robin Fogalele 20/5/2005

ORK 64 v ORK2 0
Halftime 19-0. Match report to come.
Robin Fogalele 11/5/2005

Wot, wot, wot !!
The Big Bad Brunsa may have not been able to carry the Oslo Boys to a respectable result in the Bergen Sevens but he did bag himself a hatrick when they went up against BSI on Saturday. Read more and check out the photos.
Robin Fogalele 17/4/2005

ECB beat BRK 14-12 in the women’s final and BRK beat ORK 21-15 in the men’s final, claiming the trophy for a second time in two years. A big hand to everyone that turned up and also to Vallhall for letting us stay for some "extra" time.
Robin Fogalele 20/2/2005

Keen Kids of Konsberg
The Sevens training day in Kongsberg shows that Rugby in Kongsberg is definitely alive and kicking. Bolstered by the presence of some rugby starved Oslo players the Konsberg kids were put through their paces with some exercises and drills usually reserved for National teams players.

New Zealand are women world champion 2010

The game started with a rare intensity and a very aggressive New Zealand side. New Zealand kept England in their 22 with a few kicks over the defence.

After only 7 minutes New Zealand created the first occasion to score with a missed penalty kick. Constantly under pressure, England showed difficulty in handling the balls and gave the ball back too often due to stupid mistake.
