[03-12-2011] The Rugby klubbs in Bergen have got together for their mixed annual Tag rugby competition for Movember. We had to turn away teams this year and had a maximum of 8 teams playing from Statoil to BSI and had 80 players. Each team had to have a minimum of 2 women players. It was a great success and the winning team had only lost one match. A good way to enjoy sport for charity!! The final score was Oslo 6 and Bergen 5. Read more of the report at norgesrugby.no ------------------------------->-> Division 1 Final [15-10-2011] We congratulate the boys in Fana RK who won the 1st division. They won the final tournament against Stavanger and NTNUi RK.  :: Pictures >> ------------------------------->-> Bergen Rugbyklubb in the final Semi-Final part 2 [16-09-2011] After loosing twice BergenHus RK, Fana RK had enough and decided to give a lesson to their opponents. Result was 61 to 5 for Fana RK... Not so much to add, the result speaks in itself. Therefore Fana RK won the Hordaland League and is qualified to the Division 1 final which is to be played in Bergen the 15th of October. The other teams qualified to the final are Stavanger RK, Trondheim RK and Frederikstad RK. -------------------------------->-> NM 15's [10-09-2011]  BRK won three games in a row during the end of the summer and therefore qualified to the semi-finals with Oslo, Stavanger and Blindern RK. BRK won first in Trondheim (38 to 5) then in Stavanger (24 to 12) and finally at home against Sunnmøre RK (59 to 10). :: Pictures >> -------------------------------->-> Hordaland League [04-08-2011] Click on the picture to enlarge it. Credit : Erik Orrebakken Bergen Hus RK won over against Fana RK in a close game : Final score was 12-7 with two tries from Nick and Charles for Bergen Hus while Andre VN scored the final try of the game for Fana RK. Despite ten strong last minutes, Fana RK didn't manage to win the game. Bergen Hus forwards dominated their opposites in the scrum and line-out. The return of BRK's legendary prop, Ian Irving, was probably for something in that domination. Both teams have now won two games so last game (thursday the 11th) will be the decisive game to attribute the Hordaland League 2011. -------------------------------->-> BRK - Blindern RK [18-06-2011]  Good and confortable win against Blindern RK : 66 to 7. For the second saturday in a row, there was not so much room for suspens at Fana Stadium. The only surprise of the game was David Hume to make his debut at scrum-half for the klubb. :: Article + Pictures >> -------------------------------->-> BRK - Stavanger RK [11-06-2011]  There was not so much suspens at Fana Stadium this week-end since BRK were already leading 19 to 0 after 10 minutes against a weak Stavanger side. It's a little surprise since the two teams were of similar strength the last 2-3 years. Therefore the return game in Stavanger the 26th of August promises to be a hard game. :: Article (soon) + Pictures >> -------------------------------->-> Sunnmøre RK - BRK [21-05-2011]  BRK's first game of the 2011 season was against Sunnmøre RK in Ålesund. The team was a good mix between experienced players and new beginners. The final score was 48 to 15 for BRK. 8 tries were scored among them 3 by the flanker David "22" Hume and 2 by Charles, the scrum-half. :: Article (soon) + Pictures >> :: More pictures thanks to Ian >> -------------------------------->-> Bergen League - 3rd game [04-05-2011] First victory of the year for BergenHus RK over Fana RK. Final score was 28 to 19. -------------------------------->-> Oslo RK NM 15's 2010 [30-04-2011]  At Fana Stadium, Oslo RK won 21-5 against Bergen RK. Oslo had a much more agressive start and were leading 8-0 after only 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, Oslo had added 8 more points. Bergen's kicks were really poor while Oslo's flyhalf was punishing Bergen almost every time by his excellent kicks. At half-time, Bergen made 4 changes but it was not enough to turn the game in Bergen's favour. Bergen's lack of discipline was too big : the consequence was one yellow and one red card for the hosting team. Final score was 21-5 for Oslo. Well done Oslo. No doubt that you deserved the title on this game. :: Pictures and report >> :: Article from BA >> -------------------------------->-> Bergen League - 2nd game [14-04-2011] Second win for Bergen Fana RK over Bergen Hus RK. Bergen Fana scored the first four tries of the game, Bergen Hus having difficulties to defend on their wings. In the second part of the game, Bergen Hus tried to come-back but it was too late despite scoring two tries. Final score was 26 to 14. -------------------------------->-> Bergen League - 1st game [09-04-2011]  First of the six Bergen League 2011 was played this saturday at Nygårdsmyren. Bergen Fana won over Bergen Hus 19 to 10. Man of the match was Saka who scored the two first tries of the game but also received a yellow card. The hard work starts to pay off since this is the first time in BRK's history that there are two competitive rugby teams with 22 players each in Bergen. Next Bergen League's game is to be played thursday the 14th. This will be our last game before the NM's 2010 final to be played in Bergen the 30th of April against Oslo Rugby Klubb. :: three pictures graciously offered by Ian >> -------------------------------->-> Markus and our new physio [22-03-2011]  -------------------------------->-> West Coast won the Valhall 7's [25-02-2011]  10 players from western Norway (7 from Bergen RK and 3 from Stavanger RK) plus a special guest from Ireland won the Valhall 7's.
