Bergen League 2010 : 3rd gameMatch report: Fana RK - Bergenhus RK After a week with the Bergen Hus boys gloating after there victory and some controversy surrounding the transfer of Will Hume from Bergen Hus to Fana, it was time for a rematch. The turn out was a little disappointing and we had to resort to playing with 11 on each side. On the upside there were 4 new players on the field. The referee opted for rock/paper/scissors in stead of the conventional coin toss. Andre S was standing in for Anders as Bergen Hus captain and won the toss. The game got off to a quick start with Fana scoring in the first few minutes after a stealing a line out ball. It's suspected that Ian was waiting on another gift from Andre Jaapie and forgot to tackle. The try was converted by Tim. Stian scored a second try for Fana immediately after the restart. Bergen regrouped and had Fana under pressure a few times. Tim made a great break from his own line and after good interplay between him and Diego, Diego scored. Just before the quarter time whistle Andre S intercepted a pass and got some points on the board for Bergen. He converted his own try. It was decided to play 4 20min periods as we were only 11 a side. 17-7 The second quarter started in the rain and Bergen fought back and put 5 more points on the board. (not sure who scored). After good play by Fana forwards, Patrick dived over the line. Try converted by Tim. There were some nervous moments for Bergen after the restart when the ball was kicked through, but Rob beat Andre J to the ball. Bergen was awarded a 5m scrum and Mic scored after a planed move. Try converted by Tim. 31-12. Referees score 24-12. Bergen Hus spilled the kick off and Patrick kicked the ball into the corner, unfortunately there was a forward pass in the follow up play. Fana got a tight head in the subsequent scrum and Andre J scored. Try converted by himself. A few minutes later Will Hume was given a yellow card after an alleged late shoulder charge on Andre S. Bergen Hus put Fana under constant pressure with a one man overlap in the back line as Fana was forced to put a backline player into the scrum. Bergen Hus made the best of the pressure and Andre (from SVG) scored under the posts. Try converted by Andre S. Just before the end of the 3rd quarter Andre J picked up a loose ball and scored under the posts. Tim converted the try. 45-19 Bergen Hus started the last quarter on the front foot and Andre (form SVG) scored after a good tactical kick by Ed. Bergen Hus kept on the pressure and Peter was rewarded for his hard work with a try. After a clean line out and some good handling by Fana backs, Mic put Andre J in a hole for a try, which was converted by Tim. The last quarter ended with the Fana forwards Erik and Marcus each scoring a try after some good forward interplay. Both tries converted by Tim.
