Stavanger 14 - BRK 22

7.15 am, Bergen, saturday morning : "Where is the kit ?" Nobody knows... Probably Saka but he is away... So we drove back to the city center, picked the BSI's kit and of course missed the first ferry. Anyway, we made it on time and arrived one hour before kick-off at ISS.

BSI's kit colors are black and yellow. Stavanger had a new colors : dark blue and yellow... and the ref was wearing a yellow shirt... So it was rather confusing on the picth...

BRK had a poor start, conceiding one try after few minutes... Nevertheless, BRK dominated Stavanger lines-out and Stavanger were really struggling to stop BRK's mauls. After one of these lines-outs, Stavanger were enable to stop BRK's maul and Peter Bautmans was the one to score... Very good effort from BRK's pack !

At half-time, the score was even 7-7. Coach Mike Hill was not very happy as we were not sticking to the game plan and asked us to wake up. He was probably delighted when after few minutes after the beginning of the second-half, Stavanger scored their second try resulting of BRK's poor tacklings. Anyway, BRk came back into the game... Great combination between our fly-half and our two centers showed Adam to score a try right under the posts. BRK were slightly dominated the game and scored a penalty, taking a 3 points lead... However, Stavanger remained dangerous until the last minute... on the last action of the game, Andre scored a brillant individual try. Final score was 22-14.

Players of the day were the Nash's family. Father and son both played their first game for BRK. Kieran came on as prop and did a great job against the powerful Stavanger's scrum. Patrick came on as scrum-half.
