16 determined BRK players made the trip to Trondheim. Ole, a former junior from Bergen and now student in Trondheim, completed our squad.

BRK began the games with three virgins (Ole, Timothy and Joe) on its side and a couple of players started in some unusual positions for them. Back Row and captain of the day, William Willie Wilson, played prop and the fastest winger of the west, Even, started as outside center.

BRK rapidly occupied the TRK's half and scored quickly a try by its veteran, Ian Irving. Regularly, BRK scored tries rewarding some good efforts by both the forwards and the backs.

The support was great from the forwards though the line-outs were almost a total disaster. A good summary could be : The jumpers refused to jump and the lifters refused to lift. Luckily, the hooker, Karl, didn't refuse to throw the ball and poor line-outs from the opposite side allowed BRK to grab some balls.

That was definitely the dark point of the day for us, something we need to really improve before our next game against Stavanger.

The backs played their best game of the year. The backbiters could say that it was not very difficult to play better than the previous games. Outside center Even and winger Markus had some great runs.

Right after the end of the game, Ian, Hanro, Stefan and Tim drove back to Bergen. A long drive for these boys to catch the 08.00 plane to Paris the next morning. Hanro and Ian were in Paris in the afternoon to support Samoa against South Africa ;-).

The end of the day was spent at the Kings Cross, a pub from Trondheim totally dedicated to rugby. We watched a couple of games, Australia-Japan and England-USA, enjoyed the food served by the pub and the local beers.

Tim was elected best Bergen's players from Trondheim. BRK elected Stefan and TRK's scrum half as best players.
