Ny utviklingsansvarlig i forbundet.
The Norwegian Rugby Federation has appointed Jose Miguel Gorrotxategui Polo as Technical Director. Jose has been involved in rugby since he was 16 years old in Spain and his rugby career as player includes a second place in the Spanish Junior championship, and a 7s Championship in Norway with Stavanger Rugbyklubb. As a coach, Jose has been active with junior players in Spain, England and Norway introducing rugby to more than 500 young athletes and winning the Norwegian 7s Championship for U17 in 2012 with Stavanger. He has also been assistant coach the senior women team in Stavanger, as well as working as assistant S&C coach for the Norwegian Junior National Team. Jose is qualified as an IRB Level 2 Coach and S&C Coach, IRB Educator and has a background in Economics and Pedagogy.Herrelandslagets nye manager
The NRF has appointed Sue Stannard as manager to the Norwegian men’s XV team , starting straight after the Greek match for two years . Sue is a Doctor by profession and has management experience in the health industry. Sue has moved from the UK to Bergen with her husband and daughter earlier this year. She has been involved in rugby since childhood, her father was a keen amateur player and her brother played professional rugby, including playing in the Premiership with Sale and Rotherham. Sue looks forward to working closely with everyone involved with the NRF, the players, coaches and supporters of Norwegian Rugby. The NRF would like to welcome her to the National back room team with Karl Frisch Head coach , Glen Collins Backs coach and James Hooker Physio and wish them all best of luck
Rugbyforbundets nye Generalsekretær!
“Eg har drevet med idrett så lenge eg kan huske tilbake, og begynte å spille rugby under et opphold i Australia. Rugby har etter hvert tatt mer og mer plass i livet både på og utenfor banen, styreverv, dugnader, kurs og lignende.
Min aktive bakgrunn innenfor idretten, i tillegg til utdanning innen økonomi, administrasjon, reiseliv og prosjektledelse, håper eg kan vise seg nyttig nå når eg nå tar over jobben som Generalsekretœr. Jeg gleder meg til å begynne og håper vi kan forsette det gode samarbeidet med klubbene, NRF og NIF.
Jobben som generalsekretœr er en 30% stilling, og jeg kommer til å ha kontor dag på Ullevål torsdager, og hjemmekontor tirsdager kveld.”

Vi vil få takke Karl for alt det harde arbeidet han har gjort som assisterende hovedtrener dette året.
Rugbyforbundet vil med dette bekrefte at Karl er valgt som hovedtrener for sine gode evner, og han er uten tvil den av søkerene som forbundet anser som best kvalifisert for stillingen, til tross for mange andre gode søkere.
Vi bør alle takke ham for hans harde arbeid og dedikasjon til den idretten vi alle er så glad i.
